Station Anomaly is my first attempt at writing a book. So far, work is going slowly with no signs of speeding up. Maybe I’m shooting too far on my first attempt, but hey, what’s the worst that could happen, I don’t release it? Either way, I feel like I will get valuable experience from this.
Brief overview
The book is going to focusing on Aret, a nondescript military newbie who, by means beyond her control, gets thrown into the middle of a war between the United Coalition and the Coalition of Andromeda as a integral figure in peace negotiations.
To-do List
- How far have humans expanded? Entire Solar system? Alpha Centauri?
- It’s at a point where Pluto Station is a comfortable, militaristically unimportant training station; it’s where the beginning of ones off-world military training begins.
- Long term to do
- Complete history of United Coalition for the Preservation of Humanity.
- Complete history of Coalition of Andromeda.
- Write small blurbs for each character
- Make a few alien races
- Flesh-out a few settings and create a couple for the aliens
- Super Long Term
- Write the fucking book
Possible Ideas
- Maybe have the first meeting be between rebels and the Coalition of Andromeda?
- Issues: The rebels are a small group. How would they have the resources to fly that far?
- How would the coalition react to a small rebel group? If they did react favorably, how would the United Coalition react?
- (Thanks Phil for the idea) Create a robotic civilization with unknown and unexplained origins.
- They just exist, causing no harm.
Notes
All written history is from before the events of Station Anomaly unless otherwise specified.
